Just a few quick notes to get us through to curriculum night where all will be made clear to you :-)

Every Monday, we will write about our weekend. It would be very helpful to your child if you would help him/her jot down a few short notes about what they did each day in their agenda book spot for that Sunday prior to the start of the week. No complete sentences, just a few words for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Your child will begin using an agenda book in second grade.Homework assignments will be listed daily in the agenda.Please make sure you read the agenda book every night and send it back each day. We are training for the future use of the agenda as an important organizational tool.

A daily folder will also be sent home. It will contain graded work and flyers (on Thursdays), notes, homework papers, daily work that does not need to be returned, etc. Please return this folder daily also. Any communication, notes, lunch checks, changes to transportation etc should be placed in this folder.
